Kannada cinema’s maverick filmmaker and actor, Upendra, is set to captivate audiences once again with his highly anticipated film, ‘UI – The Movie’. Known for his unconventional storytelling and thought-provoking narratives, Upendra has garnered a substantial fan following across Karnataka and Telugu-speaking regions.
After generating anticipation with the previously released teaser and song, the actor-director has finally unveiled the release date of the film. Through a striking motion poster, Upendra announced that ‘UI – The Movie’ will grace the silver screen in October. The poster showcases the actor in a menacing avatar, adorned with a colossal sword and seated on a unique throne amidst a fantastical backdrop. The intense imagery, coupled with the intriguing background music, has heightened the audience’s excitement for the film.
‘UI – The Movie’ marks Upendra’s return to the director’s chair, with him also assuming the lead role. Reeshma Nanaiah stars as the female protagonist, while Nidhi Subbaiah, P Ravi Shankar, and Murali Sharma contribute to the ensemble cast. The film boasts a talented crew, including music composer Ajaneesh Loknath, art director Shiva Kumar (known for his work on ‘KGF’), cinematographer H.C. Venugopal, and producers G Manoharan and KP Sreekanth.
